From Nepal to Seattle’s Rainier Valley

It is estimated that as of now, more than 1000 Nepali speaking Bhutanese refugees are living in Washington State, mostly in King County in cities including Renton, Kent and Seatac.

This short documentary depicts the story of Khem Rizal and his family, Bhutanese refugees who after living in a UN camp in SE Nepal for 18 years, were recently resettled in Seattle’s Rainier Valley.
