“Pasang” to be screened at SIFF

“Pasang”, a movie depicting the tale of unflinching bravery is scheduled for screening at SIFF. “Pasang” is the story of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, a trailblazing female climber who dared to take on the daunting heights of Mount Everest against all the odds against her.

The film directed by a well-known director Nancy Svendsen, follows Pasang Lhamu Sherpa’s incredible four Everest summit attempts in the early 1990s. Pasang Lhamu Sherpa’s achievements, which transcend cultural boundaries and persistently defy expectations, continue to inspire adventurers and dreamers alike. The film “Pasang” delves deep into the soul-stirring narrative of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, offering viewers a glimpse into her world of perseverance and resilience. To commemorate this extraordinary tale, special screenings of “Pasang” will be held at the SIFF Cinema Egyptian on April 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2024.
