NOA Seattle Elects New Executive Committee for 2024-2026

In a significant development for the Newar community in Seattle, the Newah Organization of America (NOA) Seattle chapter held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 20, 2024, at Shoreline, WA. The event also marked the celebration of Yomari Punhi.

During the AGM, NOA Seattle announced its new executive committee for the term 2024-2026. The newly appointed committee members are as follows:

Vice President: Deepesh Bajracharya
General Secretary: Pragya Shrestha
Treasurer: Suman Shrestha Pradhan
Executive Member: Rajesh Awal
Executive Member: Ram Krishna Shrestha
Executive Member: Shristi Shrestha

Ruby Shrestha, chair of the election committee, officially unveiled the newly elected committee. The committee shared that the new board received unanimous support during the election. The freshly elected executive committee affirmed its dedication to advancing the organization’s goals and meeting the community’s needs. Additionally, the committee expressed gratitude to Ishwar Khosin, the immediate past president, and the entire team for their hard work and contributions.

The AGM served as a platform for members to discuss key initiatives, community projects, and plans. NOA Seattle continues to play a crucial role in fostering community engagement, cultural exchange, and social welfare initiatives within the Nepalese diaspora in Seattle.
